My Top Five: Figure Suppliers

There are many figure suppliers in HO scale, here are my favorites, in no particular order:

- Mini Prints, this Canadian company 3d prints figures in N, HO, and O scales, (maybe others as well). What's neat, is they make crew figures! Most notable, a crew member hanging from a freight car in a push move. These figures come unpainted.

- Bachmann, while not all of their figures are good, Bachmann's modern crew figures fit right in, and complement the Mini Prints crews. Look for the figures on a brown cardboard backing.

- Walthers Scenemaster, Walthers has a very affordable lineup of figures. These can be found in most well stocked hobby shops because of their great detail and affordability.

- Preiser, the one that EVERYONE knows. Used worldwide on train layouts. The only issue I find is some of the figures are ultra thin, or muted out on detail painting. Usually the more expensive of figures, undecorated bulk packs are decently priced.

- Bosco, while on the pricer range, these hand crafted figures are great for detailed scenes, and draw attention to themselves. Harder to get since the late 2000's when I ordered some, the owner is still active on Facebook.
