Classic Ore Docks of Upper Michigan

I had always been under the impression that the L'Anse ore dock shown above, in the 3rd photo, had never fully existed.  This photo was recently discovered with the aid of a book called "Copper Country Rail" (available below from Amazon.com).  It's a very impressive dock, and I'm glad to know if did exist, even if for a short time. "The Railroad That Never Ran" is another great reference point for this railroad and ore dock.
